Baby J celebrated in 2019

Baby J celebrated in 2019

Each basket we give costs about $100 to fill with gifts and resources and then to assemble and deliver. Your financial and in-kind donations are what keep us able to celebrate new babies with Down syndrome. We cannot do this without you!

  • $200.00 - Did you know we’ve celebrated twins, both with Down syndrome? Yes! Sponsor 2 baskets for $200.

  • $500.00 - The more the merrier, right? At $500 you have now supported 5 celebrations in Minnesota, around the United States, and the world.

Able to make an in-kind gift of items for baskets?

We love to include homemade items in the basket, so if you sew, knit, or crochet think about crafting for the babies. We need blankets or quilts, burp cloths or bibs, hats, and booties.

  • Sizes: 36-in X 36-in for blankets or quilts; 3-month for hats and booties

  • Materials: fabrics/yarns that are soft and washable such as cotton, cotton-blend, flannel, or knit

  • Colors, prints, and patterns: Baby specific or appropriate (please avoid the “mature” florals, paisleys, non-baby prints, or dark colors)

  • All items need to be clean, new, and free of scents or animal hair

For the shoppers, we can use new newborn toys, rattles, burp cloths or bibs, small board books, and newborn pacifiers. You can see example items here on our wish list (tinyurl.com/jacksbasket).  Shop there, or cruise the sale items at your favorite store!
